Well overdue update on my experience with KYLIESKIN. You can read my 1 week-in-review here.
I started using ALL products from the KYLIESKIN line around the 25th of May.
Here was my overall initial review after one of using only KYLIESKIN:
“…My skin has been feeling very supple, tight (good tight), and soft. I started to breakout on my forehead on day 7, but continued to use the products and it hasn’t made my breakout worse so it feels like a phase of changing products which is normal for me. It’s been pretty good as a base for my makeup. When I was in a rush and didn’t have time to use a primer before foundation, my skin took the foundation pretty well so I was surprised…”
After the first week, and after breaking out in my forehead, cheek and chin area, I continued to use the products. I stopped using the serum and the moisturizer though. I used the foaming cleanser sparingly. Although my skin was feeling more soft and supple every day, it was also feeling clogged for some reason. I really couldn’t explain it. I didn’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it the way I wanted to. I went back to my usual skincare products…
After another month, I wanted to give it another shot because I kept seeing great reviews even people with combo and acne prone skin. I now use the products on and off. When I’m feeling like it’s a milky toner day, I use it. I have heard and read that it’s not good to change up your skin products so frequently, but I think if you keep track of what works and doesn’t work, it’s fine-, I haven’t had any drastic problems with using different brands.
I can comfortably say now that the cleanser, toner, and serum are products that I do grab to use. I use the scrub maybe once a week. I do see improvements on my skin but I think that also has to do with my own care for my skin. The products themselves do work, but I wouldn’t consider them my holy grail products. The cost is in between drugstore and luxury which I think is a correct range for this product line.
Personally, I’m a fan of Kylie Jenner and was going to purchase the products regardless. However, this is my honest review. They are good products. If you are about packaging and the cost, then I would say purchase. For the cost, you can find certain products that are more specific to your own skincare needs.
